Human Skin Xenografts

A Chimeric Model of Engrafted Human Skin

A full thickness vascularised model of human skin carried in an immunocompromised host.

Why Human Skin Xenografts?

A stable long-term human skin model with a chimeric dermis, including vasculature, suitable for longer term treatments

A long-term human skin model with a chimeric dermis, including vasculature. Once the graft is healed, novel therapeutic agents can be applied either topically or systemically for several weeks. Also useful for demonstrating proof of concept are biomarker protocols that employ skin biopsies intended for clinical trials.

Graft and host responses can be compared.
