Flow Cytometry

Enabling Rapid Analysis of Cellular Phenotype and Function

Epistem's Flow Cytometry services utilise a three-laser flow cytometer to enable analysis of up to 17 parameters, allowing simple and rapid cellular analysis.

What's Available

Enabling Phenotypic and Functional Analysis of a Multitude of Cell Types by Flow Cytometry

Our services facilitate phenotypic analysis with fluorescent antibodies, as well as functional analysis of fluorescently labelled cells, including cell cycle, apoptosis and cell proliferation analysis across a variety of cell types.

Our in vitro laboratory is equipped with NovoCyte 3005 flow cytometer system (Agilent), a high-performance benchtop flow cytometer equipped with 3 lasers and able to detect up to 17 parameters (15 FL Channels).

The system can automatically analyse samples in single tubes, multi-tube racks, or 24-, 48-, or 96-well plates.

The NovoCyte uses a high-precision syringe pump to aspirate the sample and drive it into the flow chamber for analysis. The sampling method can precisely control the volume of the sample, thus guarantee accurate volumetric absolute counting results.

Specific cell populations can also be sorted using our in house or partner technologies to permit further analyses.

Our Flow Cytometry services are available as a standalone analysis service or as part of a comprehensive integrated preclinical package.

Epistem’s flow cytometry service can be used to support in-house models including:

Oncology: Target validation, cancer stem cell assay, solid tumour xenografts, orthotopic models, solid tumour orthotopic models

Inflammation: Inflammatory bowel disease.
